About House of Taipei

House of Taipei is a taiwanese restaurant in Huntersville, North Carolina. It is listed at 16500 Northcross Dr, Huntersville, NC 28078, which places it among the local businesses of Huntersville that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by. Google also lists it under restaurant, chinese restaurant, which is worth knowing if you are comparing several options in the area.

Chinese restaurants in the United States range from steam-table lunch counters to white-tablecloth Cantonese seafood halls, and most fall somewhere in between: a laminated menu, a lunch special board, and combo plates priced a few dollars below the dinner menu. Ordering by number off the menu is normal and speeds things up, especially at takeout counters. Family-style ordering, where a table shares several dishes with rice rather than each person getting an individual entree, is standard at sit-down spots and usually cheaper per person. Many neighborhood restaurants are cash-preferred or charge a small card fee, so it is worth asking or checking the door before you order. Delivery apps cover most areas, but calling the restaurant directly is often faster and avoids the markup.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. The most common schedule is 11 amโ€“3 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach House of Taipei at (704) 987-7997; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. More information is available on its website, houseoftaipeilkn.com.

Its Google rating is 4.2 out of 5 from 915 reviews, a solid but mixed picture; reading the most recent reviews will tell you what to expect.

This place is great! The food was really good, and robot brought it on our table and my kids thought it was cool. Definitely a go to Chinese restaurant for us and highly recommend.

Very disappointed. I used to work in Davidson and eat lunch at House of Taipei. It was always very solidโ€ฆ.better than solid, really. Itโ€™s been several years. I was in the area and told my wife that I would stop there for lunch for us after talking them up. Well, I wish I could take that back. We werenโ€™t very hungry at the time, so we ordered small plates and ordered two lunch plates to take home for later. The crab rangoon and egg roll was good. The wife ordered fried rice, which was very dry. The crab rangoon had onion in it so my wife didnโ€™t like it. She asked for no onions in her rice, but there were onions in it. You could easily see them. We also asked for no onions in the take home meals and they also have onions. The receipt said no onions for all three items. The waitress also plated one of the meals that we asked to be a to-go order. I worked in restaurants in my earlier life and we did not send anything back because I know how that goes. NEVER send food back. However, we will never go back there due to this experience. I donโ€™t know what happened. They used to be good.

This place used to be top tier and had dropped significantly and for some reasons remains expensive. Pad Thai tasted like ketchup and thatโ€™s being generous calling it pad Thai, sesame chicken was dry and tastes like old fryer oil and somehow they charged us $12 for the worst dumplings ever which instead of being fried weโ€™re burned to a crisp. Better off saving a lot of money staying away from this place and getting any other Asian place in Huntersville as this is waste of money and very bad food. Sad this place has taken such a downhill slide for what used to be the best around

I absolutely love this place, definitely in the top 5 Asian restaurants I've ever eaten and for those that know me I love Asian food. I happened upon this place a few months ago and stopped in for lunch on my way through town and was absolutely impressed, since then I've been four or five more times. Now where is the 5th star?? Well at lunch you can order a combination with fried rice and egg roll depending on your protein choice for $13-15, while at dinner the same dish is only served in a larger portion and with white rice. Since I'm typically one when passing by this makes dinner too much food and ends up being twice the price. The management needs to realize that not everyone is eating with others and even when with a party not everyone wants to order the same thing. This is why it was only me and two or three other tables this evening. Offer the smaller combinations all day and you will see an increase in business.
